Chris Cugliari (he/him)

Boxing Instructor

Chris began boxing in 2006 as a University of Notre Dame student. There, he won the "Bengal Bouts" tournament championship in 2010. Chris continued his amateur career in Chicago and started coaching in 2013. He coached multiple national champions in New York City and Cleveland before moving to San Francisco in 2020.

Chris is a USA Boxing-certified Silver Level Coach, and his motivation to coach comes from wanting to help people of all backgrounds and ages discover themselves and their true capabilities. In addition to coaching at 3rd Street, Chris also continues to compete. He won the 2022 USA Boxing Summer Festival National Championship at 147 lbs and the 2023 Las Vegas Masters Invitational at 139 lbs.

Aside from boxing, Chris also enjoys traveling, photography, and snowboarding.
