Christopher Cugliari

Chris is currently a USA Boxing certified Silver Level Coach, Director of the USA Boxing Alumni Association, and Trustee on the USA Boxing Foundation Board of Directors. The Cleveland native began boxing in 2006 as a student at the University of Notre Dame, and won the university’s “Bengal Bouts” tournament championship in 2010.  He continued his amateur career in Chicago, then transitioned to coaching in 2013 and went on to coach multiple national champions in New York City and Cleveland before moving to San Francisco in 2020. 

In addition to coaching fighters and teaching classes at 3rd Street Boxing Gym, Chris continues to compete and won the 2022 USA Boxing Summer Festival National Championship at 147 lbs. Chris is driven to coach as a way to help men and women of all ages discover themselves and their true capabilities.  He loves to learn from the best trainers in the sport and pass along that knowledge to others in the community.

Aside from boxing, Chris spends his time as Director of Corporate Development/M&A at a healthcare company working to find therapeutics for complex diseases. He also enjoys traveling, photography, and snowboarding.
